So in the spirit of Halloween and the fall season, we brought out some pumpkins and incorporated our workout with them. After the group gathered, we stared on our 5 minute warm-up run before breaking up into partners for the station workouts. Today we had four stations in which the partners rotated through them which included: Station 1) Pumpkin Sumo Squats; Station 2) Pumpkin Passing w/ partner; Station 3) sit-ups; station 4) push-ups. Yeah I know the other 2 seemed pretty boring since no pumpkins were involved, but it made the other 2 stations REALLY F’ing COOL! After the 5-minute cool down, we introduced the group to the Spirit Scarf. This scarf is given out (passed along) to someone in the group being recognized by another member of the group for being AWESOME! The first person to earn this stripe was Chris McDaniel, after completing his first half marathon just a few weeks back! Congrats Chris.
With all the fun of the workout we even finished off throwing the 9run6 logo on our own personal gear. The custom gear is simple … you bring the gear, we bring the stencil, you paint the logo onto your swag … BOOM and you are 9run6 official!

Of course I cannot end a post without mentioning that we missed Derrick today at our workout, apparently we are “the other workout” and he goes to his boot camp on Wednesday in Greenhaven.
