#RagnarSoCal

Being part of my second relay team event is about to go down this Friday as my teammates and I take on , which is a 195 mile journey from Huntington Beach down to San Diego. Last year I ran as part of team Pure Michigan at Hood To Coast, this year I am fortunate enough to have been called upon to captain team afterNUUNrun, named after our primary sponsor Nuun Hydration, who kindly provided us with a race entry for the team as well as supplied us with their hydration products and other swag.

The team that was assembled for this event is a mixed open division team since we have both male and female runners as well as runners from all different ages. Our official start time for the race is 12:45PM on Friday. Teams will very with their start times, starting as early as 5:00AM and others starting as late as 2:00PM. The later the start, typically, the faster the team when it comes to long relays such as Ragnar or Hood to Coast.

Make sure to follow us on Twitter (each team member’s handle is on the above logo) and Instagram as each runner will provide a unique view on what is going on through the race weekend.

This entire weekend and race wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors. So a big thank you and shout out to Skechers for providing the team with our official race shoes, Nuun for providing the team with our race entry and keeping us hydrated, The SF Marathon (Register for any of the SF Marathon events and save $10 with code: DSC10RAGNAR2014) for providing us with vans and gear during the weekend, Gametiime for giving us comfortable shirts to kick it in between our running legs, Zensah for the compression gear to keep us recovering between our running, and Fitsok for our official race socks!
