Back in January, Haley, Stephanie, and I started a weekly Wednesday morning meet-up group called #9run6. We wanted to bring the running community together at 6:30AM each week to run and workout for free! Over the last 2 months we have had some small groups and some bigger groups each Wednesday. We have all made it out each and every week, sometimes Stephanie has been late, okay let’s be honest here, she has been late the last 2 weeks! haha.
Anyways, after each workout we have been posting on our social media platforms to be a #NP_Pledge. We weren’t sure if we would be part of it, but nonetheless we still wanted to make something happen that would encourage people in the Sacramento area to get up, get out the door, and workout with us.
Well on Monday night, I checked my email and there it was. An email with the subject, “Welcome to November Project”. We got in and our Wednesday morning workout groups are now officially part of the November Project. We are part of 15 other cities that grow our fitness communities and meet-up every Wednesday to workout.
Here is the scoop on how to meet up!
Come out and run. Workouts will vary and all workouts will be no longer than 60 minutes, most of them around 40-45 minutes. You can come out and do as much or as little as you like.
WHO: It is open to anyone in Sacramento or anyone willing to drive to Sacramento. All levels and experiences are welcome.
WHERE: We meet in front of the McKinley Park Library (601 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95816). Workouts will always have us running clockwise around the McKinley Loop. If you are late run counterclockwise and you should be able to find the group.
WHEN: Every Wednesday at 6:30AM. Rain or Shine.
WHY: Running should be a free thing. Workout with other runners / athletes in the community and because running is FUN!
