Today is a day to reflect and give thanks for those things we are grateful for. Everyday I wake up, lace my shoes and head out for my daily run I am thankful for that ability. I run because I can, I don’t run to win races or because I am the fast, I run to thank life for blessing me with a beautiful gift.
However, the thing I am most thankful for is my wife and son. Their constant support and willingness to travel for races, they show up to finish lines when they could be sleeping in. Just this last year we celebrated my son’s first birthday away from from during a marathon weekend so I could run the Big Sur International Marathon in April. Without their support, encouragement, understanding, and sacrifice all of this running wouldn’t happen. The running community for me starts at home and I am truly thankful to have them in my life.
