Fit Friday: Turkey Day Trotting

I cant’ believe it is already November! With that being said I know there are plenty of Thanksgiving day runs across the nation, will you be participating in one?
Over the last couple of years I have participated in the Run to Feed the Hungry, here in Sacramento. The race benefits the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services and is the largest race in the nation when it comes to Thanksgiving Day races, with close to 28,000 people participating in the 10k and 5k distances.
The beauty of this race is you can decide the day of the event to which distance you will be running as your timing chip is set off based on which timing mat you cross at the start.
Will you be running a turkey day race? Which one do you run? What distance?
