As a human being each one of us has been affected to one point or another by the recent events that happened in Boston on April 15, 2013. If you are like me there is so much we want to do to help the injured and consul the families who lost a loved one. Because it isn’t so easy to jump in a car and help out in Boston, you can still get involved by participating in an upcoming community organized event to honor those in Boston. Here are a couple of ways you can help those in Boston:
Created by PavementRunner.com, you can organize or join in community run on April 22. Organize a run or find one already planned by clicking on the link.
If you would like to donate, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino have established the One Fund Boston, a fundraising effort intended to raise money for the families most impacted by Monday’s bombings. Beware of any non-official fundraising efforts for they may be scams. To donate to the One Fund Boston, visit onefundboston.org.
For those of you running in the Big Sur International Marathon, a group has been created to run along the 4:15 pace group to honor those who lost their lives on 4/15/13 at the Boston Marathon bombing. For further information please visit the https://www.facebook.com/events/317690801693411/#
