Fitness Friday: Run For Boston

As a human being each one of us has been affected to one point or another by the recent events that happened in Boston on April 15, 2013. If you are like me there is so much we want to do to help the injured and consul the families who lost a loved one. Because it isn’t so easy to jump in a car and help out in Boston, you can still get involved by participating in an upcoming community organized event to honor those in Boston. Here are a couple of ways you can help those in Boston:

If you would like to donate, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino have established the One Fund Boston, a fundraising effort intended to raise money for the families most impacted by Monday’s bombings. For those of you running in the Big Sur International Marathon, a group has been created to run along the 4:15 pace group to honor those who lost their lives on 4/15/13 at the Boston Marathon bombing. For further information please visit the

  8. What happened in Boston was so surreal. I watched the winners come through and then logged off to get back to work. But I was glued like so many others. Glad you will get to run alongside the group for Big Sur. I am an ambassador for Black Girls RUN! Columbia (SC) and we did a group run to honor the victims of that horrific tragedy. We also did it on a national level as well.
