To me there is no better way to start a week off than to get a good cross training workout in on a Monday morning. As many people dread Monday’s, I love them. The reason being is that it keeps me reminded of how lucky I am to be able to enjoy another week of workouts, another week of work that I love, another week of friends and family, and another week of just enjoying life! Mondays also remind me of the accomplishments of the previous week, the hard work, fun and play I was able to have.
So this morning I started it off with a light cross train on the trainer, riding for 25 minutes. Really the morning on the bike is to get the body warmed up and sweating before I jumped into another week of Inanity workouts. I am still on schedule with the Insanity workouts following their recommended calendar. This mornings planned workout was Cardio Power & Strength. A solid 35 minutes of dynamic movements that keeps the body moving, the heart rate up, and the muscle challenging it’s endurance by the end of the workout.
I feel really blessed to be able to do what I do every Monday morning. I know many people hate their Monday mornings, but maybe we should look at all the things that Mondays mean to us. Look for the positives… There are a lot of them when it means a new week. I hope you enjoy your Monday workouts just as much as I do.
