pushing through

It was a foggy morning here in Sacramento, though the weather was comfortable, I felt like I was constantly looking over my shoulder, stopping and stuttering near every corner watching for cars. In the end one thing I have learned is that I have to look for the cars because I know the cars are not really looking out for me. The fog this morning seemed to never push to the side even though I gave myself a later start to allow for the sun to burn the fog which didn’t happen. Still I pushed through the fog with a 5 mile run. The five miles was a mid tempo run which allowed me to pick up some pace during the stretches where traffic was not an issue. I averaged just under a 7.00 minute per mile pace, which was not bad considering some of the stuttering I had to do, at each cross walk. The run was the morning workout.

In the evening I did some of my strength work using the P90X Chest, Shoulders and Triceps DVD. This is one of my favorite workouts and tonight I decided to push more weight rather than high reps, just to change it up and give my muscles as bit of a shock. Tomorrow I will be logging in my long run as to make sure I can get a long run in for the weekend since my weekend is going to limit me from getting the long run in on Saturday or Sunday.
