workout: 20 minutes in the pool for cross training workout.

This morning is one of the shorter cross training days, so 20-30 minutes typically is the workout and today I did a 20 minute workout in the pool. All of the workout today had the kick board. I varied the workout a bit by going at a steady pace for the first 15 minutes and then speeding up the kicks for the final 5 minutes doing a slow pace for 25 meters and then kicking hard for the 25 meters back. As for the actual workout I can start to feel the legs really getting a workout and am amazed how much of a core workout you get by swimming even with the kick board and having my arms extended out. Well tomorrow is back on a run day with a speed workout which I am looking forward to.
