California International Marathon 2010

Well today was the running of the 28th California International Marathon. The weather was GREAT!!!! We couldn’t ask for anything better than what we go today! I lined up with the 3:10 group and was having a great run all until the 16th mile where I started to cramp up but that is besides the point. I was still able to complete the course at 3 hours and 45 minutes and am still awaiting for the official time to be posted on the website. The supporters were great, tons of cheering people, familiar faces and awesome signs. Also the other marathoners were like always just as friendly and encouraging during the run, our pacer for the 3:10 group was awesome he hit us on every mark and even at the half point we clocked in at 1 hour 34 minutes and 40 seconds. He is the type of pacer I needed someone that kept me honest and strict to staying slower, unfortunately I think my nutrition going into the race is what caused the cramping, I just ran out of energy at that point and the cramping occurred.
Once we got over the H Street Bridge, it was all good, a little slow but still the constant cheering of supporters was great leading all the way into the Capitol.
