A day off to recover today. A much different attitude I have had from just 3 months ago where I believed that a day off was a day behind. But when it comes to physical activity that just comes down to what will allow me to actually recover and let my muscles rebuild. So down time once or twice a week is just as important as getting the other workouts in as well. My most recent half marathon time and how I felt proves that listening to your body is more important than sticking to the schedule and pushing it so hard that it hurts. So my advice if it starts to hurt, take a day off, but just not too many days off.
