Keeping a tempo

Tempo Run: 5 mile total; 1 mile warm-up, 3 miles @ 6.39 pace, 1 mile cool down

Rev Abs: Total Strength and Mercy Abs
Today was a good short workout. A 5 mile tempo run, which is actually 3 miles of work with a 1 mile warm-up and a 1 mile cool down. The route was around the Rosemont / Lincoln Village area again, keeping it close to home for me (map of run). Like all of the other Rosemont Neighborhood runs, it is all sidewalk and bike lanes on this run, so it is easy to crank of the tempo on a run like this. A little over 1 week left and I am very excited going into the San Francisco Marathon, my legs feel good, my core is strong, and I am feeling confident in how I am going to perform. Along with the SF Marathon I am very excited about running a couple of runs prior to the marathon down in San Diego, I have a 3 mile run scheduled and an 8 mile run to complete while I am down there. I will definitely  post a detailed blog about those run, along with all of the days leading up into the run. Perhaps one of my longer post will be the Saturday post just before I head to bed and get a good nights rest for the SF Marathon. Thought I would post this cartoon that I came across that is funny but definitely not something I would consider.
