Run: Active Rest
Additional Workout: P90X Shoulders and Arms
This morning’s workout was a little shoulder and arms work. It was a good workout to incorporate some weights into my routine and also to help build some strength in my upper body. I know my legs are capable of running the 26.2, my core is the strongest it has been in a long time, the only concern are my shoulders as I start running miles 18,19, & 20. After I can get past those marks, I know the final 6.2 miles is a smooth stretch at that point the work is done and I just need to get a steady rhythm going. Like last week with the P90X workout, I used the forward button often to get past the breaks and extra chatter, turning the 59 minute workout into about a 28 minute workout. By doing this you end up getting a quick and more intense workout without all the mini-breaks in between the exercises. Enjoy the 2nd Semi-Final of the World Cup 2010 today.
