Building to 20

Run: Active Rest

Starting tomorrow is the build up to the 20 miles that will be ran in 2 weeks and also the week after. I am very excited for these 2 runs plus the 18 miler this weekend because it will help me build for what a realistic goal and time for the SF Marathon will be. At this point I am confident I can run a 3 hour 10 minute time, however the only thing that is holding me back is that it is my first time to run SF. It is not my “home” course, and I do not know the course at all. “Three Ten” would be a personal record and in fact it would be 38 minutes faster than any previous marathon time I have ever posted. So this is where I am as far as pacing for the marathon. I am at the point where I am really enjoying the training and having this goal of running the Boston Marathon and where running it is an actual possibility. Wether I run a 3.10 or not all I know is I am enjoying the chase for Boston right now. Getting to mile 20 is also where the race actually starts!!! So that is why 20 is my mark and I am excited about running a couple 20 milers in the next couple of weeks.
